Before We Begin
Learning from the comfort of your own home is a wonderful way to study music.
To make our online lessons feel just like we are in the same room, we need to
position your camera so I can see your posture,
and adjust your audio so I can hear you clearly.
Just follow these simple steps to get your space ready before we begin.

Location: Place your laptop, tablet, or phone to the side of your instrument.
Height: Set the device on a small table or stack of books so the camera is slightly higher than the keys.
The Angle: Tilt the screen down just a bit so your hands and torso are visible.

The Earbuds: Please use standard, wired earbuds that physically plug directly into your laptop, tablet, or phone.
Why no Bluetooth? While wireless earbuds (like AirPods) are wonderfully convenient, Bluetooth connections often distort the complex, beautiful sounds of your instrument. A simple, inexpensive pair of wired earbuds ensures I hear your music exactly as you play it, without degradation.
"Christine is an exceptional instructor. She is very conscious of details in pieces; with each observation and suggestion is another layer of depth and sophistication added. The curriculum is customized to the student's preference and she is very versatile and resourceful to create a lesson plan that incorporates the principles and elements that will ultimately establish a foundation for which the student may properly execute. She isn't pretentious, but patient and understanding; however don't waste her or your time if you're not going to practice. Why take lessons, if you choose not to put any effort into it? You'd be embarrassing yourself, and she'll drop you as a student if you persist to resist practicing. Learning piano and taking lessons with Christine is a very rewarding and enjoyable experience, and much more so when I put the time into my playing."
